Domestic abuse can happen in relationships or within the home and may include patterns of control, intimidation, manipulation, or fear. It can affect self-esteem, confidence, mental health, and relationships with others.

Children and young people may be impacted by witnessing abuse or living in an environment where they do not feel emotionally or physically safe.
